I'm going to try this again

I love blogs!! I love reading them. I've bought magazines that highlight great ones.  I've bought magazines that teach you how to write one but I still can't commit myself to do it... We'll things are about to change!! I'm about to get committed,   I'm going yo write about everyday life and things I love!!! Art, vintage anything, flea markets and thrifting. The Fall

Two weeks ago on Friday things changed really quickly for our family when my mom fell and fractured her pelvis. She had to be transported to the local hospital where she was admitted and spent five days.  After the hospital stay she was moved to a rehab unit at the hospital .. We were told that would involve intense therapy (three hours a day).  She will come home  (to my sister's house) tomorrow.  I plan on using this blog to share things I have learned that will hopefully help people that are going through the same things with their elderly parents. Early Morning

John Henry had to be at the weight room at WHS by 5:45 this morning...Makes for a very early day. Baseball meeting last night to get the schedule for the spring.  Tried to watch the West Virginia Clemson game last night  but fell asleep.  Woke up to hear the 70-33 score.  John Henry was happy.   Not as cold today as yesterday..32 this morning at 5AM:)

What happened to my Mashed potatoes

I made a pork roast and sauerkraut today.  I also made mashed potatoes..I am usually the Queen of mashed potatoes..Not sure what has happened. I mad them on Christmas day and we didnt get to eat them, but that was a good thing because they were terrible. Today's were not very good either.  Snowy and cold today.Mom spend the afternoon here and we both were pretty tired. The kids went to Winking Lizard for dinner.  The quiet time here is nice tonight...School starts again tomorrow..Not ready for that...

Hello 2012

I have decided to be a faithful blogger in 2012.  I lost my Dad, my hero, my role model on Christmas day.  I was not ready to lose him. What an inspiration he was to me. It has been one week from the day and I think I  am still in shock and disbelief.  Without Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior I would have not been able to get through this. I have seen a change in our family. I hope it continues. We seem somehow closer than we have ever been.  My dad wrote in a diary everyday of his life. What a great accomplishment, what  beautiful  memories he left for all of us to enjoy.  He wrote about the weather, his blood pressure and just the little things he did during the day.  I plan to do the same, just won't include the blood pressure:)  Today was windy, there was a wind advisory and Cleveland was supposed to get  a foot of snow.  I hope it stays north.

Team Inspire

I would like to welcome my team of consultants to Thirty One.  Jaci Frey, Olivia Bronczek, Meg Gross, Terri Paulus, Lara Moyer .  Jaci just submitted her qualifying order tonight:) Congratulations Jaci!!! Meg had two parties today and is looking forward to Thursday when she will hold an Open House at a local beauty salon. Terri was also busy today signing up her first recruit:)  Olivia will have a party in her dorm room this week at Capital University.. Big week for Team Inspire:)
